Question by Lindsay♥: Can I study abroad on a nursing degree?
I’m a high school student and I’m planning on going to Penn State University on a nursing major. I heard that in Penn State you spend either your junior or senior year of college at a hospital, so I was hoping to do my senior year there and study abroad in France a semester in junior year. I was wondering if I can study abroad on a nursing major? Thanks!!

Question by Eleanor: Can a student travel abroad for nursing?
I love the thought of traveling and experiencing new cultures. I know nurses can work in third world countries. However if I wanted to is there a program to study nursing in London or Spain or some other European country?

I know of a nurse that just did that…but I don’t know HOW she did it. Michigan State has a program and others do too…just google it and you can see…maybe your college has one…ask!

Question by .: When to study abroad if pursuing Nursing? How far will I be put back?
I’m so excited! I will go back to college in January to pick up where I left off. I’m 22 by the way. August seemed as rushing in unprepared. I want to study abroad in Japan. I don’t care what part really. I heard that you’re actually more likely to learn the language if you’re in a more rural part. That most people in bigger parts of prefectures will more likely speak English to you. I’m pursuing a Nursing degree, so should I try to study abroad my first year back? How far back will studying abroad put me academically? I know it’s more possible if my chosen degree wasn’t Nursing. What do you think?
