I don’t know anything about studying overseas…?

Question by Laksa T: I don’t know anything about studying overseas…?
I’m considering to go overseas to study in the future, but what are the arrangements that I need to do? Like, after I get a place in a university in that particular country, where do I live? I know it may sound dumb to you, but I really don’t know anything. I’m considering Korea. So do I need to rent an apartment on my own or can I share an apartment with roommates?

Answer by Eric
I think your best bet, if you are from the U.S., would be to attend a college in the states that has either campuses or relationships with other schools overseas in the country that you would like to study. That way everything would be set up for you and structured through the school. I went to Temple Univ and I know we had colleges in Italy and Japan but I’m not sure about Korea.

Question by Chantal: Major in Nursing, Minor in Spanish, Study Abroad?
Okay so I was wondering would I be able to study abroad because of my nursing major? is nursing different in different countries? I looked on the colleges that I applied to and they dont have a study abroad program where I can do my public health in Spain. It is my dream to go to there and become fluent in spanish. Should I just not study abroad? icon sad Major in Nursing, Minor in Spanish, Study Abroad?

Best answer:

Answer by Amber Marie
That is completely up to your school. Some have nursing programs where you go through in a specific order in a group and they do not allow study abroad. Medicine is hardly ever taught in English either, so it will be very hard to find a program is you are wanting Spain. You can throw nursing out the window for a year and go for a language program. Nursing is not a college degree in other countries, they still go by the system that we used to use, having nursing schools (my mom went to nursing school before they were added to our college system). This is also why it is very difficult to do nursing abroad. No matter what you do, if you go abroad, it will set you back time wise. You can declare a Spanish major as well and go over (a minor would only justify you being there for a semester, not enough time to become fluent).

Also, not having a study abroad program does not mean a whole lot, it just means that at the moment there is no standing agreement, but they can make one if you do want to go study Spanish. But, again, because nursing is not taught at colleges, you would be going there to study Spanish, and maybe to get a few gen eds like lit out of the way.

What do you think? Answer below!

Studying University overseas.?

Question by Vintage&Limes: Studying University overseas.?
would be a Senior next year and I’m currently studying in Singapore because we migrated a few years ago. I have just recently knew that if i have to continue my studies here, i would have to go for either Junior College for 3 years or Polytechnic for 2 or 3 years. And i prefer going staight to University without entering JC or Poly. Is it possible to get in straight into university if i study overseas? If i can do so, which universities are best to enter in?

Best answer:

Answer by M.poo
JC is 2 years. Poly 3 years.

Some other pre-u programmes you can do will be the IB (International Baccalaureate) which is 2 years as well.

Presuming you are doing your O Levels, I doubt any good university out there will recognise that as a pre-u. If you do it in the UK/ Aussie, there are many foundation programs you can take before uni and those are only 1 year long.

An Epitome of Simplicity (Tribute) (Fanfic Trailer)

This video is not copyright infringement intended. Best viewing option: HQ! *Note: And I’m sorry for such a bad trailer compared to the fanfic itself. I just had the urge to do something to show my appreciation to the author, Ephemeral for writing such a masterpiece. Please excuse my horrible tribute which did not do the fanfic any justice. This is just pure FAN mode. Summary of fanfic (SPOILER SORTA): The main character, Park JinNeul, desperately loves Kim GyuJong. But for some reason, he does not look at her and always have other girls around him. Even so, JinNeul never gave up and is always true to her feelings; JinNeul loves Kim GyuJong. Soon things get rough. Her twin brother, Park JungMin, left to go study overseas and to live with their father. But fate twists things around and everything became a jumble. There was no clear line for JinNeul to see or to grasp. Park JungMin died. She no longer saw what was in front of her, but rather tries to go back and cling onto the past and dwells. She even lets go of GyuJong……… *Sorry for such a bad summary and spoiler! But it’s for you to understand the trailer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO READ THE FANFIC TOO! It’s awesome.
