Question by JAMES: I’m interested in studying overseas?
I’m 17 years old, recently graduated highschool in australia and im wondering if i can study overseas at a university, possibly canada or maybe america. Do i get any government benefits?
Best answer:
Answer by AD Hi there,
I live in USA.
As far as I know, the only way you can get government benefit is through the university in here (USA). Means, the school has to apply one of the government scholarships for you.
How to do that? the best answer is you might have to contact them and ask for this scholarship (either way, government or private scholarship).
Hope this help!
good luck
Question by jasleen: nursing degree from abroad?
Hi all,
My sister-in-law recently came from India. She was a RN in India and now she is planning to work as a nurse in USA, but she is confused about how can she start her career here. Should she do LVN program and then go for RN program or what can she do? does she have to do all her study again or she can sit in NCLex exam. Please suggest something. We live in California(if state needed).
thank you.

Answer by Jill She needs to contact the CA state board of nursing. Google their website. They will also probably have information on their site about foreign-educated nurses so you might not even have to call to find the information you’re looking for.
Question by : Studying overseas (Australia, England, America, New zealand)?
I will be completing my ‘o’ levels in Singapore next year. However, I do not really wish to further my education here in Singapore because I really dislike it here. My first few choices were Australia and new zealand as they’re quite close to Singapore and it isn’t that expensive compared to studying in America or England right?
Oh and if I study overseas, can I apply for student loan? And what are the costs of living!
Can anyone give me more information about these places and their education institutions?
If I study in England, the cost of living will be fairly high right? My family’s not poor but am not exactly rich, slightly above average you may say. So any advice given would be appreciated:))

I would love to study in France, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, or Austria. As they are centrally located in Europe.
Can I for my undergraduate (Bachelor of Business, (Marketing/Advertising. P.s Haven’t decided on yet) study in one of these countries in english.

Answer by Crazeddoglady Yes, of course. Simply contact your nearest consular office of whichever country or countries you are interested in and find out the visa requirements. It will likely be easier for you to get a visa once you have been accepted to a university.

Question by godblessgwb: Why can’t we ban students from studying overseas?
It just seems that it’s unpatriotic for students to go to another country to supposedly “learn” from them. Seeing how America is the country that grants more freedoms than any other, how can we allow our youth to go to say, Japan, or worse yet, France? They should be studying in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave!
So what can we do as concerned citizens from allowing them to pursue this? Anyone?
Best answer:
Answer by therealsh97 Ok…there’s being patriotic and then there’s being bigoted. Has it not crossed your mind that some individuals choose to study abroad to experience different cultures? Some individual like to travel and experience what the rest of this planet has to offer- you know, different terrain, ethnicities, customs, beliefs, lifestyles, ect. It sounds like you’re saying that it is wrong to study abroad because an American education is and should be superior to any other.
