Interested in studying overseas in Australia?
Question by : Interested in studying overseas in Australia?
im interested in going to nursing school in australia. i currently reside in california. i have a private nursing school lined up, but it is going to cost me 133k (would go to a public school but they are very competitive as far as getting in to, and have extremely long waiting lists). from what ive heard, nursing school in australia are no where near as much. is it possible to get student loans for studying over seas? does FAFSA offer financial aid to those interested in studying in a different country? how hard is it to get accepted into nursing schools in australia? do i have to go to a university there, or are there schools dedicated to nursing and what not (the school i plan on going to here in the states is specifically for nursing)? generally how long are nursing programs there? schooling here is going to be 3 years and walk out with my BSN. my grades in high school werent the greatest, will that hold me back from getting into schools over there? i have family there to sponsor me as far as getting a visa goes. the way i see it is, if i can spend 133k or less, getting the same education, and living in a different country for a few years, then why not go for it? any advice and information would be really helpful
