Question by : what colleges send student nurses to study abroad?
what i mean is while studying in college to become an RN, they send you to different hospitals and clinics to have practice. But which ones send you to different states and things like that towards the end of the program if there is any. Just wanted to know.

I live overseas, studying in uk (UCL- london). I cannot view the property (can’t afford to visit the uk just to look as no where to stay and it’ll be too expensive)

What i’dlike to know is, how does other overseas students find a palce to live?

like u they trust what they see on the internet and book it. or get friends to look / book for them. there’re many websites to look at or agents to look for u and u pay deposit and go. some r terrible then u start looking again and move. if u’re lucky u get a good one and stay put.

Question by ms.M: If ever a nursing student had hepatitis B, can he or she still continue to take up nursing and work abroad???

It depends exactly what type of job it is because that person wont be able to work as a scrub-nurse in operation-theatre if the blood test shows the person can still transmit the virus.

If a person had Hep-B in the past then there are two possibilities:
-The person might have recovered fully and is now immune to the disease.
-The person still has chronic infection and may or may not be infective (can transmit the disease to others).

This we can ascertain by doing blood-test (serology).

So it all depends on the serology (done by blood-test to know the antibody status), type of job and hospital policy.

Two important serology tests which denote that the person is potentially infective are HBeAg(Hepatitis B e antigen) and viral load (no of virus particles per ml of blood).

There is clear evidence that doing non-invasive procedures doesn’t pose any risk of transmission.

I was Born in UK so I have a British nationality. I have been living and studying overseas all my life, now I plan to come back to UK and continue my studies. So will I be treated as a “Home Student” or an “International Student”?

Home Student I would assume. It doesn’t matter where you live, what matters is your citizenship. But if you’re bothered by this, ask the admissions office. It never hurts to ask and they’re paid to help you.

I’m currently in Grade 11, approaching the halfway mark. I am interested in studying abroad. I was thinking the other day, Australia has a lot of international students, so can I study as an international student overseas?

I would love to study in France, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, or Austria. As they are centrally located in Europe.

Can I for my undergraduate (Bachelor of Business, (Marketing/Advertising. P.s Haven’t decided on yet) study in one of these countries in english.

Yes, of course. Simply contact your nearest consular office of whichever country or countries you are interested in and find out the visa requirements. It will likely be easier for you to get a visa once you have been accepted to a university.
